This team has faced many challenges this year, and were not sure at the beginning of the season whether they would be able to enter an under-17s team into the competition.
These girls are nothing short of fighters!
Despite the lack of numbers, they have battled with every opposition and finished in the top six.
The under-15s have supported them throughout the season with supplying high-quality benchers.
The under-17s have also backed up their own matches with filling spots in our senior netball teams, and we are very grateful for that sacrifice and support of our club.
We wish them all the best and hope to see the town come and support them throughout the finals. We know they can beat any team with the right attitude.
Huge thank you to all those who have supported this team, especially coach Chelsea Taylor and team manager Milly Opt Hoog.

What is the greatest lesson you have learnt this year? The importance of resilience and teamwork. There were moments when things didn’t go our way whether it was a tough match, a turnover for the other team, or just an off day, but I’ve learned how powerful it is to stay focused, support each other, and keep pushing forward as a team. Netball has taught me that it’s not just about individual performance, but how we lift each other up and grow together as a team.
Who do you admire at the club and why? I really admire Milly because she consistently brings so much positivity to us as under-17s players. You can genuinely see the impact she has on everyone around her. Whether it's during a game, at half-time, or when I come off the court, she always gives clear, constructive feedback and lifts everyone’s spirits. Her energy keeps the team motivated and focused, no matter the score.
Funniest or favourite memory at FFNC? One of my favourite memories at the netball club was our first team dinner. Chelsea made a bet with Milena that she couldn’t chug the entire jug of coke, and there was like 50 bucks on it! Milena was so determined, and even though it didn’t go quite as planned for her, we all cheered her on. It was one of those moments that had everyone laughing but also showed how close we were becoming as a team. We were all a bit worried about her afterwards, but it honestly brought us closer together.
