Finley juniors take on Cobram

Finley took on Cobram this week with the games being held at Barooga on a chilly night.

Cobram were off to a good start and put the young Cats under some pressure kicking five goals to one in the first quarter.

The second quarter started much the same until some great patches of play from the backline turned the tables with the Cats narrowing the margin at half time.

The third quarter was a battle for both teams to gain momentum.

Into the last quarter, the Cats showed a heap of character and hard work and out scored them again, but unfortunately went down by 18 points.

Under-10s:

The young Cats came up against a very strong Cobram side, who proved too strong.

However, every player gave their all on the field and showed great determination and team spirit throughout the game.

Despite the result, it was a great learning experience and the team continues to improve each week.

A big congratulations to Caleb Kennedy and Oli Gray, who were award recipients for their outstanding efforts and contributions during the game.
