A slightly undermanned Toc reserves side took on Echuca United with a focus on starting the game well, and pushing hard for a full four quarter effort.
However, as in recent weeks, the start was not ideal for the Bloods, with the Eagles playing the bigger Toc ground to their advantage.
They were able to better isolate their forwards and create more space and scoring opportunities in the first half, and in doing so applied scoreboard pressure that the Bloods were unable to match.
With the score at 9.9 to 0 at half-time, the Eagles were well on top, and it could have been a bigger margin with more accuracy in front of goal.
