The trophy, donated by the Tocumwal Golf and Bowling Club, was presented to the Eagles captains Brett Bird and Lilly Grieves by the Club CEO Paul Gemmill.
The brainchild of TGBC bowling stalwart Pat ‘Pip’ Baker, the Interhouse Competition came about after TPS students from Years 3-6 participated in four weeks of lawn bowls lessons and games throughout the year.
This program was organised by TPS sports coordinator Beth Hatty.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed the Interhouse competition, with some friendly rivalry promoting the use of tactics and enhancing the skill level,” she said.
“TPS is immensely grateful for the guidance and assistance of the bowling club in both the lessons and over the two sessions of the competition.
“It is a wonderful way to see the school and community coming together for the benefit of the children of the Tocumwal community.”
