WRDGA (East)
Monday saw the playoff between Deniliquin and Jerilderie Golf Club teams for the Western Riverina District Golf Association (East) Winter fourball match play competition at Finley.

Play began between Deniliquin, Jerilderie and Finley at the end of April with the clubs playing each other twice before reaching the finals.
After a hard-fought battle, the Deniliquin team came out winners 2-1.
Deniliquin captain Pauline Davis thanked the Finley ladies for hosting the event and providing lunch and commented on the wonderful condition of the course.
Southern Riverina Veterans
The Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Association April Competition Day was played at the Tocumwal Golf Club on Monday, with 96 golfers taking to the course.
Stableford was played and Colin McNamara from Finley, on 39 points, took the A-grade trophy.
John Hyde from Cobram Barooga, after count back on 34 points, was runner-up.
Ed Brown from Tocumwal had 32 points to claim B-grade, with Paul Crick also from Tocumwal runner-up after a countback with 32.
Norm Elliot from Cobram Barooga carded 36 points to win C-grade from Jim Power, also from Cobram Barooga, after countback on 34.
A-grade NTP went to Geoff Hanns (Tocumwal), B-grade was Geoff Hanns (Tocumwal), C-grade went to Bill Beasley (Cobram Barooga), and all-grades was claimed by Colin McNamara (Finley).
Ball competition winners were players with 27 stableford points or better.
Berrigan
Friday's winner was Steve Senini (48-10-38), runner-up was Jeff Stein (50-10.5-39.5), Wayne Crew won the putting with 14 and ball winner was Geoff Tait (57-17-40).
Saturday's winner was Steve Senini (46-10-36), he also won the putting with 12. Runner-up was Michael Curtin (50-12-38) and ball winner was Gail Browne (45-6.5-38.5).
Sunday's two-person ambrose sponsored by McNaughts and Dawmac was won by Matt Whelan and Ian Armour with a net 66.5.
Runners-up were Joe Karakai and Tyson Williams with 67.5, and ball winners were Michael Curtin and Lachlan Whelan 69, and Paul McVicor and Joel Bilny 69.25.
NTP Tyson Williams, and longest drives went to Max Coburn and Vanessa Parr.
Friday’s tee off time for nine holes is at 3pm and Saturday nine holes at 2pm.
Next Sunday will be a stableford event tee off at 12.30pm. All welcome.
Tocumwal
On Tuesday, June 11, the Tocumwal ladies played stableford on the President’s Course.
Winner: Maxine Sadler 39. NTP: 2nd Lynda Jolly, 8th Maxine Sadler, 14th Lynda Jolly, 18th Kerry Conrad.
On Wednesday, the men played aggregate fourball on the Captain’s Course.
Winners: Siggi Rempel and Rod Brown 70; r/u Gerry Lawson and Leigh Chappell 68 c/b Ed Brown and Ronny Huy; c/b Peter Stanbrook and Philip Howe.
NTP: 2nd Mark O’Brien; 8th Graham Owen; 14th Mark Baker; 18th Jeff Rogers.
On Saturday the comp was stableford on the Captain’s Course.
Women’s Winners: A-grade: Helen Crilly 37, r/u Margaret Murphy 36. B-grade: Jennie Hehir 38, r/u Heather Aston 34.
Men’s Winners: A-grade Rodney Smith 37, r/u Brett Molnar 36 c/b Shane Halloran. B-grade Doug Perrett 34 c/b Ross Trevean, c/b Brian Morgan 34. C-grade Cooper Clark 43, r/u Douglas Carney 35, 3rd John Simm 34.
On Sunday, the comp was Medley Par.
A-grade Christopher Forster +3, r/u Stephen Naughton 0 c/b Darran Rowe. B-grade Paul Crick +1, r/u Steven Molnar -2, 3rd Ross Trevean -3. C-grade Rod Simms 0, r/u Alice Gubbins -1 c/b Gary Baldwin.
Finley
Sharon Pyle, with 72 net, came in the winner when the women played stroke at the Country Club Hotel Day on Wednesday.
Sharon, with 29 putts, also claimed the putting competition.
Hannah Kelly 75 and Kaye Sutton with 77 net were winners in the ball competition.
In cold conditions the field was small when the men played stableford on Wednesday.
Grant Shaw came in the winner with 37 points. NTP on the 18th was Steve McRae, and Steve was also ball competition winner on 36 stableford points.
Matt Daniel on 19 stableford points came home the winner at the Thursday 9 hole competition.
Ball competition winners were Grant Shaw 18 and Colin McNamara with 17 stableford points.
On Saturday it was the J & M Doyle Stroke Day which included the June monthly medal for both men and women.
Men’s division winner, with 70 net, was Barry Wilson and after countback, with 73 net, Sue Simpson was the winner of the women’s division.
Monthly medal winners for June include scratch winner Ryan Donkin on 84 gross after countback and the men’s net medal going to Barry Wilson on 70 net.
Sue Simpson had 96 gross and 73 net to win both ladies medals.
NTP on the 18th was Sam Singleton, and Maree Doyle with 30 putts claimed the ladies putting competition.
Ball competition winners were David Cordell 73, Rory Doyle 73, Sam Singleton 73, Maree Doyle 73, and Ryan Donkin and Mick Cooper (Tocumwal) who each had 74 net.
Stableford was played on the CIF Trading on Sunday.
With 38 points, Robb Singleton was the men’s Division One winner, while Sharon Pyle on 34 points was winner of the women’s division.
NTP on the 18th was Barry Wilson and on the 13th it was Sharon Pyle.
Ball competition winners were Rob Daniel 35, Trevor McCaw 34, Marty Piggin 32, Kim McCaw 32 and Sue Simpson who finished with 31 points.
