C-grade: Jerilderie 20 def by Tungamah 40.
The team unfortunately had a loss against Tungamah. The girls put up a tough fight and did not stop the whole game, especially the mid-courters. The defenders had a lot of great intercepts and the shooters were up against some tough Tungamah defenders but shot some great goals both at the ring and from a distance.
Awards: Grace Peisley (BOC), Loretta Walker, Carina Rorato.
C-reserve: Jerilderie 9 def by Tungamah 46.
The sun was shining at Tungamah and the C-reserve ladies had a wonderful start to the match, their first quarter full of good ball movement, strong leads, defensive pressure and some accurate shooting. The potential of the team was on show, but unfortunately the error count surged and structure crumbled as Tungamah rallied, eventually taking the game.
Awards: Evie Trethowan (BOC), Laura Ham, Rebecca Mitchell.
Under-17s: Jerilderie 56 def Tungamah 40.
The girls had a good win against Tungamah. Chelsea Hibberd played a great game in the midcourt and took home the BOC award.
Under-15s: Jerilderie 39 def Tungamah 35.
The girls had another great win. They came out strong, dominating the first half and heading into the break with a 12-goal lead. Tungamah mounted a late comeback in the final quarter, capitalising on a few unforced errors and loose passes, but the girls held on to secure the win with a strong team effort.
Awards: Stella Williams, Sama Swaid, Jacinta Eldridge.
Under-13s: Jerilderie 3 def by Tungamah 38.
They were up against a strong Tungamah side and unfortunately didn’t come away with the win. The defence was solid, with excellent intercepts and providing defensive pressure all day, and the mid-court provided constant options working hard and creating space for some great passages of play. Although our shooters had limited chances in the ring, they led well and made the most of their opportunities.
Awards: Milla Rorato (BOC), Ivy Conn, Lexie Hines, Sarah Baffsky.
Under-11s: Not scored.
It was a slow start in chilly conditions, but players quickly warmed up and found their rhythm. A strong team performance with each player stepping up.
