By half-time, the margin had blown out to 70 points as Jerilderie controlled every aspect of the contest with slick ball movement, pressure around the contest, and precise forward entries.
The trend continued in the second half, with Jerilderie adding six more goals after the main break to finish with an imposing 16.25 (121) on the scoreboard, while holding Mathoura goalless until the final quarter.
Max Diffey starred with five goals and was a clear standout, dominating forward 50 contests and finishing with class.
Kane Hawkins and Chaz Retallick chipped in with two goals apiece and featured heavily across half-forward and midfield rotations.
Ben Neessen and Bohdi Beasley were also among Jerilderie’s best, showing composure and physicality across the ground.

Jerilderie’s Indigenous Round featured a powerful Welcome to Country by Jeithi Elder Barb Browne, a smoking ceremony, didgeridoo performance, and live music from Scar Tree featuring Uncle Damien Dookie Thorne.

It was a much deserved win against Mathoura.
With good numbers this week, plenty of changes kept everybody in good spirit and fresh legs for the game.
Harrison Curtin played a great game throughout the midfield and pushing forward to kick a few goals.
Jack Tonta also back into the side, and put his stamp on the game.

The junior Dees took to the field for a special occasion, being the opening game of Jerilderie Football Netball Club’s inaugural Indigenous Round, proudly participating in the Welcome to Country ceremony.
It was a significant and meaningful start to what turned out to be a memorable day of footy.
The Demons fielded a strong and enthusiastic squad, coming up against an undermanned Mathoura side.
In the true spirit of community and sportsmanship, four or five Jerilderie players were rotated into the Mathoura line-up each quarter, ensuring an even contest and plenty of playing time for all involved.
The young Jerilderie team played an impressive brand of footy, underpinned by a strong focus on whole-team involvement.
The midfield group once again led the way, with their usual engine room efforts, but what stood out most was the selfless ball use, sharing disposals, setting up goals, and bringing everyone into the game.
The 115-point win was a dominant display, but it was the team-first attitude and development of all players that was most pleasing.
A number of players kicked their first goals for the season, and the team even celebrated a brilliant goal on debut from a six year-old future star - a moment that will no doubt be remembered for years to come!
