Trailing at the main break, Jerilderie lifted their intensity after half-time, winning the contested ball and using it well going forward to take control of the match.
Their pressure around the ground and willingness to work for each other proved the difference as they ran out deserving winners.
Best afield was Dan Eldridge, who played an outstanding tagging role and kept his opponent quiet while still finding plenty of the footy himself.
Cam O’Brien was influential through the middle and across halfback, providing drive and composure all day.
Oliver Knight stood tall in defence, repeatedly cutting off attacks, while Chris Marshall was pivotal in the key moments and stood up when the game was on the line.

Reserves
Jerilderie put in a determined effort in tough, hot conditions, but couldn’t quite get the result against a strong and well-conditioned Deni outfit.
Down back, Bobbie Arnold and Brendan Beckett stood tall under pressure, while Brad Norton, Jackson Riddell and Lachlan Westwood worked tirelessly through the midfield.
Despite their efforts, Jerilderie struggled to capitalise in front of goal, with missed opportunities proving costly.
The commitment and intensity were there all day, and the final score didn’t truly reflect how competitive the contest was.
Plenty of positives to take away, with valuable lessons learned as the focus shifts to the next game.

Jerilderie had some standout performers, led by Riley Boag who was best on ground with a strong four goal haul.
Blake Vidler was running all day and finding plenty of the footy across the ground, while Evan Lawton put in another gritty performance, doing the hard in and under work to win crucial possessions.
Despite the effort, Jerilderie fell just short.

Fourths
The Dees played with plenty of grit and determination, but were ultimately outmatched by a much bigger Rovers outfit.
The backline worked tirelessly all day, with our out ballers providing great support to move the ball out of defence under pressure.
It was a strong team effort despite the result.
A big congratulations to Finn Sweeney, who pulled on the Dees jumper for the first time. A great milestone and hopefully the first of many games to come.
Final score: Deni Rovers 22.13 (145) def Jerilderie 0.0 (0).
