Australian cricketing icon Jason ‘Dizzy’ Gillespie will feature at two local veents next week.

The former Australian men’s cricket player will be a speaker at events at the Brolga Hotel Motel in Coleambally and Finley Rec Reserve for ‘A night with Jason Gillespie’, next Wednesday and Thursday evenings respectively.
A former fast bowler and international coach, Gillespie has coached Yorkshire, Sussex, South Australia, the Adelaide Strikers, and most recently Pakistan.
In his playing career, he took 259 wickets in 71 tests and 142 wickets in 97 one day internationals for Australia between 1996 and 2006.
He also made his top score and only test century of 201 not out as a night watchman against Bangladesh in his final test match in 2006.
Gillespie provides cricket commentary alongside his coaching duties across the globe.
The Finley and Coleambally Cricket Clubs have partnered with Mouse Promotions to bring Gillespie to the region, for the all ages events.
He will be sharing some stories of his days as a cricketer and coach, answering questions from the crowd, and will meet with fans after formalities are finished.

The Coly event at the Brolga will befrom 7.15pm on Wednesday, February 4, finishing about 9pm.
