While the Farrer Football Netball League had a bye for the King’s Birthday long weekend, a number of Coleambally netballers travelled to Sydney to compete in the open, under-17s and under-15s State Netball Titles.
Taliysha and Kayla Clements, Hannah Pound and Arabella Bardney represented the Coolamon Comets in open. The side fell agonisingly short in the Division 3 final, losing by a single goal.
Lillyarna Clark also lined up for the Coolamon Comets in the under-17s.
Abbey Muir and Chloe Mahy took the court for the Leeton open, while Jessie Pound represented Barellan and District, finishing 8th in Division 1.
The Coleambally Blues FNC has congratulated all players and their families for the commitment shown through months of trialling, training, travelling and competing in the lead‑up to the tournament.
The Coly Blues junior netballers will face Leeton’s representative sides on the first weekend of the July school holidays at the State Titles.
Coleambally’s senior netball and football teams return to action this Saturday, taking on East Wagga Kooringal in Wagga Wagga.
