In Colbinabbin, the hosts came close to a first win of the season, taking on Echuca 4, but a 7-5 (60-52 games) instead saw the visitor pick up its first victory.
Most sets were tight, but Shane Coatsworth had a good afternoon, winning two sets 6-1 to bolster Echuca 4’s games margin.
In the remaining match, Echuca 5 was successful in its trip to Lockington, defeating LBU 9-3 (66-38 on games).
It was a strong overall performance from the visitor, capped by a 6-0 win to Xan Spiers and Leanne Alberni.
In an intra-club clash, Echuca 3 got the best of Echuca 1 eight sets to four, although the 65-58 games score indicated a tight battle.
Echuca 2 had the bye and is an unbeaten 2-0, with Echuca 5 the only other undefeated side.
