The Berrigan rider recently competing in her first Australian Youth Dressage Championships - held for the first time in the regional location of Wagga Wagga.
Charlotte was representing Team Victoria in the under-26 category.
She finished an impressive 9th overall in the Novice division, but also helped her state team secure first place in the Victorian Elementary/Novice Team event.
Her performance earned her a coveted spot on the State Representative Team, having scored in the top three for her level across Victoria.
Charlotte competed with her horse Nilton Spielberg, affectionately known as ‘Stevie’, from Wangaratta.
Charlotte has been training Stevie herself, and their bond and dedication have led to a string of accolades.
Charlotte has won HRCAV Champion Rider of the Year (two years running), HRCAV Showing Combination of the Year; HRCAV 300 Point Award and was a winning team member in both HRCAV TTT Showing and Combined Training events.
“She’s been very successful - I’m definitely proud of her achievements,” said Charlotte’s mother, Stacy Ware, reflecting on the years of hard work and commitment that have gone into Charlotte’s journey.
While many teens juggle school with sports like netball, Charlotte’s days revolve around stabling, riding, and caring for her horses - a lifestyle that demands discipline but is clearly paying off.
