Cats under-12s get good win

The Finley Cats had a bye in the Murray League on Saturday, but its youngest players still got to see some action in the Goulburn Murray Junior Football League.

After a big break due to school holidays and the previous week’s match called off, the under-12s took on the Bloods at home in great conditions for footy.

The Cats got off to a slow start, and the Bloods were up for the challenge.

After quarter time the Cats started to find their rhythm and were hitting targets by hand and foot with plenty of run.

The second half followed suit and the Cats kicked away to take a great win.

Final score: Finley 11.9 (75) def Bloods 5.5 (35).

Goals: Jake Arthur 2, Flynn Rourke 2, Will Harris 2, Kody Hamann 2, Colby Price 2, Linc Price 1.

Best players: Lachlan Bain (who put his hand up to fill in for the Bloods) and Olli Taylor.
