A Grade came into the game eager for another win against Cobram.
A strong start saw the girls take a 6-goal lead at half-time.
All players displayed determination, fighting for every ball in a very physical contest.
The game remained close, coming down to the final minutes.
There were some great passages of play and excellent defensive pressure. Credit to the girls for a hard-fought and close game.

B-grade: Finley 45 defeated by Cobram 46.
It was a nail-biting clash, with the final score falling just one point short in Cobram’s favour.
Finley brought the intensity from the first whistle, showing strong structure and composure across all four quarters.
Despite holding firm throughout, Cobram managed to snatch the win in the dying moments.
Best on Court: Gemma Atkins, who was solid in defence all game. Coach’s Award: Leah Blake for accuracy and effort in goals.
A tough loss, but an impressive performance from a determined Finley team.
C-grade: Finley 30 defeated by Cobram 36.
It was a close game with neither side gaining a clear lead until Cobram took control in the final quarter.
There were great passages of play across all areas of the court, in both attack and defence.
Awards: Best on Court: Charlotte Hurlston for countless intercepts and strong drives; Georgia Healy who returned from injury with a strong performance in the midcourt and defensive pressure.
C-reserve: Finley 20 defeated by Cobram 60.
Cobram came ready to play and showed their dominance from the outset.
Finley struggled to find rhythm until the last quarter, which highlighted the areas to focus on heading into the final rounds of the season.

Under-17s: Finley 36 def. Cobram 31.
The Cats came away with a hard-fought win, defeating Cobram in a tightly contested match.
With a few key players out, the team was grateful to have some talented U15s step up and help secure the win.
The team kept their composure, building confidence and connection with each quarter. It was a vital win for the finals campaign, and the team should be proud of how they supported each other and rose to the challenge.
Awards: Addison Baker, Addison Clarke.
Under-15s: Finley 31 defeated by Cobram 42.
Despite the final score, the team played one of their strongest games yet, matching Cobram across all four quarters.
Cobram edged ahead each quarter, but the Cats held most of the possession and played with great composure.
This week’s awards went to three girls who communicated well, adapted under pressure, and led by example in a true team effort.
Awards: Lucy Mueller, Addie Baker, Emilee Sneddon.
Under-13s: Finley 9 defeated by Cobram 39.
It took some adjusting in the first half for the girls to settle into their positions and build team flow against a strong Cobram side.
They continued to show up and give their best effort all game.
Under-11s: Not scored.
The team displayed great teamwork at both ends of the court, showcasing skilful plays and versatility across all positions.
They worked beautifully as a team, and it’s evident that what they’re learning at training is being reflected on game day.
