Midweek pennant team had a tough day on the greens losing to Strathmerton 36 to 71.
Best rink of the day was Gayle Reynoldson, Kura Goldsmith and David Fox who went down by three shots.
In Saturday pennant, Division 1 played away at Cobram losing overall 50–59. Roger Reynoldson skipped his team to a narrow loss by three shots. Best rink of the day went to Matt Hannan, Ged Towler, Graeme Clements and Robert Lillis winning 21–15.
Division 3 travelled to Nathalia where they lost 46 shots to Nathalia’s 61. Bowlers had to adapt to changing conditions after the initially fast greens slowed after light showers. Chris Stock, David Reynoldson, Peter Finlayson and Hardy Rennick had a great start but eventually lost to Nathalia. The best rink in Division 3 went to David Fox, Geoff Blake, Greyd’n Davis and Barry Hutchinson who had a great win over Nathalia 23–16.
Barefoot bowls is on tonight – all welcome, no bowls or experience necessary. Hopefully better weather this week will see a good turnout. 6.15 pm for a 6.30 pm start. $10 per head includes a sausage sizzle.
Tocumwal
The Club Tocumwal midweek pennant teams round 3, Tuesday, October 21.
Club Tocumwal 1 played Numurkah 1. The final score was 45-61. It was a loss to the top team Numurkah but the Club Tocumwal team remain in third.
Club Tocumwal 2 played Numurkah 2. The final score was 36-62. The side are now third on the ladder.
Round 2, last Tuesday saw Cobram 2 play Club Tocumwal 3. The final score was 31-66. It was a great win and the team are now in second position on the ladder.
Rounds 4 and 3 were all played at home yesterday.
Division 1 played Cobram 1, one spot below them on the ladder; Division 2 played bottom of the ladder Picola 1; and Division 2 play Numurkah Golf 2 who are in sixth position.

It was home games for Club Tocumwal with three good wins.
Club Tocumwal 1 played Wunghnu 1. The final score was 57-55. It was a great win over the top of ladder team Wunghnu.
Club Tocumwal 2 played Cobram 2. The final score was 49-56. The team remain in eighth spot.
Club Tocumwal 3 played Barooga Sports 3. The final score was 62-49. This result saw the team move up the ladder to fifth.
Club Tocumwal 4 played Numurkah 3. The final score 57-51. The team are now into fourth position.
The first rounds of the Murray Bowls State Mixed Pairs were played at Barooga on Sunday, October 26 with Club Tocumwal’s Cheryl and Geoff Mears moving to the quarter finals to be held on Sunday, November 16, as has Judy Harvie playing with Chris Philpot (Barooga).
Unfortunately, the team of Barb Patterson and Rod Brown were defeated in round two.
