Toc kept the away side to 4/59 from their 25 overs before a strong chase at Tocumwal Recreation Reserve on Saturday morning.
Having won the toss and electing to bowl, the Bloods were up against two strong openers from Katty.
It was Chase Dickins that got the breakthrough in the sixth over, getting the wicket of Archie Paterson for five, caught by James White.
This began a cluster of wickets that halted the Katty batters’ momentum.
Archer Chellew got the wicket of new batter Oliver McCallum from his second ball without scoring, again caught by White.
Then the introduction of Daniel Burn in the eighth over produced two consecutive wickets.
Burn removed opener Alex Bye for five, then dismissed Caleb Gundrill from his first ball, getting both wickets bowled.
While not able to complete a hat trick, the Tocumwal bowlers stifled the Katty batters, who still batted well to see out the rest of the innings.
For Katty, James Bray finished on 23 not out and Harrison Mynard finished on seven not out, taking their innings total to 4/59 from 25 overs.
The Bloods’ openers Archer Chellew and James Winn got things moving from the start of the innings.
Chellew made a brisk 36 - including six boundaries - before retiring not out, while fellow opener James Winn made 15 not out to put the Bloods in a good position after eight overs.
After Chellew’s retirement, Daniel Burn came in and made two not out to be in the middle at the end with Winn.
The Bloods reached the total of 60 runs without the loss of a wicket in the ninth over, giving the Bloods a 10 wicket win before the mid-season break.
