The Bloods were simply unstoppable, controlling the contest from start to finish registering an emphatic 188-point victory - their second win on the trot.
Right from the opening bounce, Tocumwal signalled their intent.
The midfield brigade got on top early, giving the forwards silver service and allowing the scoreboard to tick over rapidly.
The first quarter saw a flurry of goals as the Bloods stormed out of the blocks, applying enormous pressure all over the ground.
By half-time, the game was effectively over as a contest, with Tocumwal having already built an unassailable lead.
But to their credit, the Bloods never let up. Their work rate, ball movement, and cohesion remained strong throughout the four quarters, keeping the fans entertained and their opponents on the back foot.
The standout on the day was none other than Flynn Tonks, who delivered a master class up forward.
Tonks had the MCG-sized oval to himself at times, finishing with a staggering 10 goals in a performance that had shades of footy folklore.
His clean hands, sharp leading patterns, and pinpoint accuracy made him a nightmare match-up for the visitors.
Tonks was well supported by a dangerous forward line that fired on all cylinders.
Logan White and Dane Maxwell both hit the scoreboard with five goals each, highlighting their ability to find space and convert under pressure.
Luke White added three goals, while Lenny Clarke impressed with two majors and several goal assists.
The scoring was rounded out with singles to Corey Parish, Braden Sciuto, Kane Wardlaw, Dillon Kirchen, and Xavier Walker, highlighting the depth and spread of contributors across the ground.
Behind the scoreboard dominance was a disciplined and structured team performance.
The engine room, led by Blair Eddy, was instrumental in winning clearances and setting the tone in the contest.
Lenny Clarke’s addition to the side was monumental with a composed and physical display, while Dane Maxwell’s hard running and forward pressure made him one of the most influential players on the day.
Xavier Walker provided plenty of spark around the ball, and Logan White not only impacted the scoreboard but also set up teammates with smart decisions and clean disposals.
While goal kicking was the highlight, it was the Bloods’ defensive efforts that made the victory truly complete.
Conceding just two goals for the entire match, Tocumwal’s backline held firm and repelled numerous entries, starving Mathoura of any meaningful forward opportunities.
