It was a milestone game for a few players, with four father and son combinations in the team.
Hayden and James White, Paul and Cooper Mangion, Darren and Logan White and Keith and Lucas Baron made up eight out of the 12 man side.
Tocumwal lost the toss and Deni elected to bat.
Hayden and Logan opened the bowling, with Hayden (1/16 off three) taking the first wicket to have Deniliquin at 1/22.
Robbie Owen (2/30 5) then did some damage for Tocumwal, taking two wickets - one caught by Hayden and another by Cooper - to have Deni at 3/52.
Cooper had a spectacular game with the ball, taking 2/7 off three overs while Keith finished with a spell of tight bowling with 0/4 off three overs.
James showed good form in his senior cricket debut with 1/11 (3) while Marlon Webster 1/20 (1) got the final wicket to Deni all out of overs with a score of 7/199.
With a hard run chase ahead of them, Tocumwal headed out to bat with Hayden and Robbie opening.
Robbie came out swinging and chalked up some quick runs to get Tocumwal off the mark, though he was caught for 19.
Robbie was replaced by Darren, who was dismissed relatively quickly.
But son Logan came in to fill his shoes and top scored for the Bloods.
Logan’s knock of 37 consisted of some solid boundaries, including five fours and a six before he was bowled by Andrew Smith.
Hayden fell just after drinks for 21 as a result of some tight bowling from Jake Herberte.
This made way for Keith Baron to come out and play a cracking game, staying on until the end with 27 not out.
Cooper made a very respectable 17 runs before being bowled by Hamish Baker, meaning there was a brief chance for a father/son partnership.
Unfortunately Lucas was beaten by a good ball early.
This, however, saw the development of a fantastic 52 run partnership between Keith (27*) and Paul Mangion (36), with Mango finding the rope with six fours before he was bowled out in the last over.
Marlon Webster entered the game and made three runs not out before Toc ran out of overs at 7/174.
It was a great game with all team members contributing.
With all the young players coming through, it looks like a promising side for the future.
