Beth lands her first hole-in-one

On Tuesday, January 31, the ladies played stableford on the president’s course, with Beth Muir scoring her first ever hole-in-one with a great shot on the 8th hole.

Division 1: Patricia Small 37 points, R/U Lynda Jolly 36 points, 3rd Helen Crilly 34 points.

Division 2: Robyn Taverna 37 points, R/U Pamela Richardson 36 points, 3rd Anne Beveridge 35 points.

Division 3: Marie Farrell 42 points, R/U Heather Aston 38 points, 3rd Vanessa Ranken 37 points.

Gold Division: Dianne Dungan 39 points.

Hole-in-one: Beth Muir, president’s 8th hole.

NTPs: 2nd Kerry Conrad, 8th Beth Muir, 14th Dianne Nelis, 17th Kerry Conrad.

On Wednesday, February 1, the men played a teams four person stableford event with the best three scores to count on the captain’s course.

Winners: Robert Burns, Darren John, Bryan McKenna and Michael Taylor 122 points.

R/U: Ray Hehir, Leigh Chappell, Toby Chappell and Phil Nunn 121 points.

3rd: Kevin Waller, Mark Conway, Phillip Tribolet and Brian Morgan 119 points.

Gold Division: Doug Beckwith 44 points.

NTPs: 2nd Kevin Keating, 8th Brett Molnar, 14th James Orpwood, 17th Phil Nunn.

Saturday and Sunday was the Victorian Two Person Ambrose Championship for the ladies and men, with a large field of players from all over Australia.

Ladies: Kim Morris and Alex Odell 135, R/U Kathy Garnaut and Kerry Henningsen 152, 3rd Rhobelle Morrison and Jan Scane 154.

R/U: Anne Beveridge and Allison Southwell 140.25.

Men: Kyle Harrison and Michael Hazell 129, R/U Ian Armer and Jason Kast 130, 3rd Michael Cooper and Aaron Dale 130.

Nett: Mick Doyle and Alex Fraser 124.25.

R/U: Darren Duckworth and Martin Daniel 127.5.

Finley

It was another big field for Wednesday’s stableford medley event.

Alex Albee, a visitor from Lakeside Camden, stepped up to collect Division Two with with 41 points.

Ryan Donkin, on 38, took out Division One.

NTPs: 13th Maree Doyle, 18th Lindsay Donkin.

Ball competition winners down the line were: Maree Doyle and Mary Polkinghorne 38, Barry Wilson and Mark Newton 36, with Alan Hand, Leo McNamara and Kevin McCumstie who all came in with 35 Points.

Stableford was played on the back nine at the 9 Hole Competition on Thursday.

Rand Wilson came in with 18 points as the day’s winner, with Doug Smith on 17 as winner in the ball competition.

Alan Hand came home in front of a large field with 69 net to take out Division Two when stroke medley was played on Saturday.

After countback on 72 net, Barry Wilson stepped up as winner of Division One.

NTPs: 13th Heather Daniel, 18th Beth White.

Ball competition winners: Rob Hawkes and Jeff Rogers (Cobram Barooga) 72, Jim Richards (Wagga CC) 73, along with Paul Pinnuck, Steve Conrick, Rand Wilson and Andrew Harding who all came in with 74 net.

It was Steve McRae with 39 points who took home the Division One trophy, and Sue Simpson on 38 points accepted Division Two when stableford medley was played on Sunday.

NTPs: 13th Sue Simpson, 18th Steve McRae.

Ball competition winners: Billy Smith 37, Paul Pinnuck 36, Rob Daniel and Heather Daniel 33 and Brett Shaw who had 32 stableford points.

Berrigan

Friday's winner was Spike Salter (56-20-36). Spike also won the putting with 14 putts.

Runner-up was Wayne Crew (54-18-36) and ball winner was Beau Walliss (47-10.5-36.5).

Saturday's winner was Chris Cameron (38-2.5-35.5), runner-up was Gail Browne (43-7-36).

Chris Cameron won the putting with 13 putts and ball winner was Spike Salter (57-20-37).

Sunday's winner was Neil Graham (96-24-72), runner-up was Gail Browne (86-14-72).

Neil Graham won the putting with 23 putts and ball winner was Alan Arnold (91-18-73).

Next Sunday will be a stableford event with tee off at 9.30am.

Sunday, March 19 will be the IGA Golf day, which is one of the major fundraisers for the year.

Organise your team of four for an ambrose event.

The day will start at 10am with lots of prizes to be won.

Cost is $25 per player which includes a barbecue lunch.
