Val Chisholm skipped Nan Dart and David Fox to a convincing 20–13 victory, while Glenys McKay captained her team of Elaine Hawkins and Clare Harvey to the same winning score.
Berrigan claimed the overall win, 55–50. After a slow start to the season, the team finished strongly with five wins.
Weekend pennant teams played their final games of the season at home against Katandra West.
In Division 1, best rink honours went to Rick Bradbury, who led Kelly Milich, Jack Buckman and Jason Milich to a solid 22–15 win. Katandra West proved too strong overall, however, winning 69–43.
Division 3 had a tough day, going down 32–87. Best rink of the day was Peter Finlayson’s team of Rob Beard, Greyd’n Davis and Joe Cottom, who battled hard to lose by just two shots.
Club men’s pairs champions Rick Bradbury and Paul Glanvill played in the Murray Bowls Champion of Champions on Sunday defeating Finley 22 to 12 shots.
The semi-finals and finals will be played next Sunday in Strathmerton. They face Cobram in the semi-final, vying for a place in the final.
A big thank you to our volunteer greenkeepers for keeping the greens in immaculate condition throughout the season. Division 3, 4 and 5 finals will be played at Berrigan next Saturday, a testament to the quality of the greens.

Barefoot bowls was cancelled last week due to the heat. Anyone interested in playing is welcome to come along at 6.15pm on Wednesdays. No bowls or experience are necessary — $10 per person includes a sausage sizzle.

Finley bowls
Midweek finished the season off in style with a 60–53 win over Club Tocumwal. B. Smith’s rink won 26–7, B. Ferry 21–13, and H. Tabe 13–33. Unfortunately, they remain at the bottom of the ladder.
Division 2 just missed finals, losing to Cobram 50–67. B. Smith’s rink went down 18–22, J. Finnerty 15–20, and G. Haines 17–25.
Division 4 will play finals despite losing to Numurkah 3, 45–68. T. Scoullar finished 16–31, N. Barnes 25–18, and B. Ferry 4–31. They will play Cobram 5 at Barooga next Saturday. Good luck.
In state pairs, the men’s team of B. Smith and J. Parker, and the ladies’ pairing of N. Smith and R. Steinford, both won their first rounds against stronger opposition, before losing their second matches after coming up against teams who had byes in the opening round and had fresher legs.
