The Demons started strongly, matching Tungamah’s intensity around the contest and applying pressure across the ground.
Strong work through the midfield created several scoring opportunities, while the backline stood tall under repeated attacks from the Bears.
The contest remained hard fought throughout the afternoon, with momentum swinging between the two teams.
Jerilderie’s willingness to attack the ball and support each other around the ground kept the game competitive, while Tungamah made the most of their opportunities when they arose.
Among Jerilderie’s best performers was Zye Treadway, who battled tirelessly in the ruck all day and provided a strong contest at stoppages.
Rory Knight was a constant presence up forward, crashing packs and bringing the ball to the ground for his teammates while creating opportunities in attack.
Brad Aylett was influential through the midfield, providing plenty of drive and winning important possessions around the contest.
Max Diffey continued his impressive form across halfback, generating run and carry from defence and helping launch numerous attacking movements.
Several Demons produced strong individual performances, leading by example and continuing to work hard until the final siren.
The effort and commitment shown by the group reflected the determination that has been building throughout the season.
The club would like to thank all players, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who attended the game and helped make the day a success.
Jerilderie now turns their attention to next week’s challenge as the side looks to build on the positives from this week’s performance.

Reserves
The energy pre-game was good and at the first bounce it was a wrestle for an honest upper hand.
By the end of the first quarter, Tungamah had utilised their chances going forward, finishing the quarter with a four goal lead.
The Dees were hungry in hunting the footy, but unfortunately Dees couldn’t capitalise on forward entries and the opposition made them pay the price.
The effort across the ground couldn’t be faulted. But lacking enough forward pressure saw the Dees go down by 12 goals.
Lessons learned and it’s onto Tocumwal next round.
Final score: Jerilderie 3.2 (2) def by Tungamah 14.10 (94).

Fourths
The Demons’ under-14s again faced a strong outfit.
Tungamah started the game strongly, controlling much of the opening quarter and keeping the ball locked in Jerilderie’s defensive half.
The Demons’ backline stood up under immense pressure, working hard to limit the damage.
Their defensive efforts were critical in keeping the score relatively low early, forcing Tungamah into several inaccurate shots on goal.
In the second term, Jerilderie managed to gain some valuable territory and spent more time in attack.
While the Demons were unable to apply scoreboard pressure, they continued to compete hard and restricted Tungamah to just two goals for the quarter through disciplined defensive work.
The second half became a scrappy contest, with Tungamah eventually capitalising on their opportunities and adding several more goals to the scoreboard.
Despite the result, the Demons continued to battle hard until the final siren and never gave up their effort.
The scoreboard didn’t reflect the determination shown by the Jerilderie players, particularly in defence, where they worked tirelessly against a strong and well-organised opposition.
