The Beers are the Berrigan Community Bowls Club Barefoot Bowls champions for autumn 2024, taking home the coveted Husqvarna Shield.

The Beers - made up of Darcy Pyle, Jacob Loats and Steve Morgan - overcame a slow start to the season to scrape into the final, played on Wednesday evening.
Once in the final though, they stormed home to victory over pre-match favourites Erica's Eagles 4-3, 3-1.
In the other matches Dregs defeated CSI 5-1, 8-1, Savernake defeated the Boys 8-2, 4-1, Cafe defeated Parrie's Pirates 6-0, 4-1 and the Fill-ins defeated Two Gs and a T 2-2, 5-2.
While this brings the competition to an end, barefoot bowls will continue informally for teams and individuals on Wednesday evenings starting at 6pm.
