He won for the third year in a row for his age group and is 13 year-old boys 2026 NSW high jump champion, jumping a new PB of 1.72m.
Levi has two more big competitions coming up.
He has been successful in securing a spot in the NSW National Little Athletics team and will be travelling to Sydney for a two day camp before going on to Brisbane and competing on April 13 and 14.
He will also be competing in back-to-back competitions as his win at the state championships has secured his spot in the Australian athletics junior championships where he will attempt to claim his Australian title once again.
Levi’s parents are incredibly proud of his efforts. He works extremely hard training and preparing himself.
“We are so pleased to see how much he loves athletics,” his mother Ashley said.
“It makes him happy. His success is a testament to how hard he trains; all the gym sessions keeping his body fit; all the high jump training sessions and physio.
“There is a lot involved that people don't see,.
“His goals are set on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic games, and I truly believe if he continues to love the sport and keeps up his hard work and dedication, we will see him representing Finley at the Olympic games one day.”
