The northern end of Finley has been inundated by corellas for the past couple of months.
The damage they have done to the large gums opposite our house and of the neighbours as well, has been hard to comprehend.
The decimation of these trees, the screaming and squawking from dawn to dusk, and the damage and destruction of lawns must be seen to be believed.
The spouting on the houses up our end are all full of small branches and leaves, not to mention the roads and nature strips.
It is a horrible sight and does nothing to promote our town whatsoever.
I can imagine the response of the visitors who come to the caravan park to stay in our town for a few days.
They would have to call it a screaming mess, and never return.
I don’t know how they cope at the swimming pool either. It must be a nightmare for them.
There must be something the shire could do to cull these annoying pests, as I feel the potential tourism of our lovely Finley town will be decimated also.
Yours etc,
Pamela Angove
