CEF Coleambally-Darlington Point works to provide much needed financial assistance and support local youth achieve goals in post high school education, training and vocation aspirations.
CEF Coleambally-Darlington Point fundraises throughout the year, raising money from local residents and businesses to provide financial aid to students who need a helping hand.
These grants are available for 16-25 year-olds who either live in post codes 2706 or 2707, or attended Coleambally Central School.
There must be a demonstrated need for the grant, as well as a demonstrated commitment to their goals.
CEF Coleambally-Darlington Point explained that these grants are quite flexible in nature.
Group member Elaine Clarke noted that the grant money can be used in many ways.
“They can be used for all forms of post-schooling education, traineeships, apprenticeships, everything,” she said.
“It can be used for accommodation, uniform, placements, books, technology - there’s lots of things it can be used on.”
Last year, Coleambally-Darlington Point distributed 22 grants.
