For the past week, the world has been rejoicing that after years of war and unrest in the Middle East a peace treaty involving an agglomeration of nations has been signed.
The return of the 20 hostages has also put an end to two years of heartbreak and anguish for their families.
Both Palestinians and Israelis can now rest without the threat of constant missile and drone attacks.
Not only that, but seven other wars have been brought to an end in the world in 2025.
Countless lives will now not be lost in the senseless destruction that comes with war.
However, our scripture reminds us that true and lasting peace will not come from man made agreements.
True and lasting peace will only come through Christ.
We can’t legislate true peace; it can only come from a heart transformation when people come to a saving knowledge of Christ.
People have to know in their hearts that violence is not the way to settle disputes.
Let’s pray for revival to sweep across the world, so that true and lasting peace will be established.
