The 10 schools in the zone competed at the Yarrawonga Park Run course in the 2km and 3km races.
TPS Cross Country organiser Stephanie Reynoldson was thrilled with the result.
“There were some great runs by all competitors. We really put in our best effort and came home with the overall championship.
“In particular, an amazing effort by both Elyna Ring and Brett Bird for winning their 10 year age groups.
“The girls dominated across the 10 and 11 year age groups taking out three of the four positions in both.”
In the 10 years division it was Elyna Ring 1st, Kobi Jones 3rd and Ivy Farrell 4th.
In the 11 years division it was Marlee Burke 2nd, Lily Baldwin 3rd, Nina Crawford 4th.
Ross Grieves came 3rd in the 8/9 boys and Joel Harrison 4th in the 11 boys.
“TPS will send those nine students to compete at the Riverina Cross Country Championship on Thursday, June 13 in Gundagai,” Miss Reynoldson said.
“We wish them all the very best as they attempt to qualify for the state championships in Sydney.”
