Toc man charged by Sex Crimes Squad

Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged a Tocumwal man with alleged child abuse material offences under Strike Force Glandore.

As part of ongoing investigations, about 6.20am on Monday, strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Tocumwal.

At the address, police said they located and seized a mobile phone and laptop allegedly containing more than 125,000 files of child abuse material.

A 56 year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Finley Police Station, where he was charged with use carriage etc to access child abuse material and possess etc child abuse data-use carriage service.

The man was refused bail and was scheduled to appear yesterday in Bail Division Local Court 5.

Strike Force Glandore was established in 2023 by State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad Child Internet Exploitation Unit (CIEU) to investigate the online distribution, supply and access of child abuse material.
