One of the ongoing projects at the Tocumwal Lions Club is the Emergency Medical Information Book, which is a combined community service project by Rotary, Lions Club and Ambulance Services across Australia.
The Emergency Medical Information Book contains all your information and medical records which are needed if or when an ambulance is called, and you need to be transported to a hospital.
This small book contains patient contacts, service or carer provider information, medications, and any medical conditions, so a paramedic is able to treat and ready a patient for transport to a hospital.
Each book has a clear plastic sleeve with strip magnets and is placed on the fridge door once it has been filled out by the owner (patient) together with their doctor.
These booklets are available free of charge.
If you’re wanting to get one, please get in touch with Tocumwal Lions Club at tocumwal.nsw@lions.org.au or phone 0417 868 498.
Anyone requiring an Emergency Medical Information Book is asked to get in contact with Tocumwal Lions.

Can Assist Tocumwal held its Motley Crue Bike event - the KanAssist Kruze - on Saturday from Farmers Arms Hotel.
The group report that numbers were down from the 2022 event, but with perfect conditions and weather for a ride, it was enjoyed by everyone involved.
A fantastic amount of money was raised for those touched by cancer in Tocumwal and surrounds.
Tocumwal Can Assist spends a large amount of money each year on patient support, so this fundraiser made a massive contribution to their annual fundraising total.
Group members extend their thanks to the many fundraisers who contributed financially to the cause, and the many local businesses who sponsored the event.
If you wish to help out the organisation by becoming a member, supporter or volunteer, get in touch via email on tocumwal@canassist.com.au or by calling 0467 926 557.
