On Monday we were given a public holiday to celebrate the King’s birthday.
King Charles is the King of the United Kingdom and 14 Commonwealth countries.
King Charles reigns over these countries, but he does not rule.
Ruling is done by the UK government, and Commonwealth country governments.
Our scripture reminds us that, one day, Jesus will return.
He will not only reign, He will also rule over all the peoples of the whole Earth.
He will be the one and only true King, who will establish peace and justice across the entire world.
Jesus died on the cross to bring his kingdom to this world, but one day it will be established.
This is the time for us all to look forward to and pray for the return of Jesus.
The church also has a role to play in the establishment of His kingdom.
It’s our role to spread the good news in order to grow the church and defeat the plans of the enemy.
It’s time to speak up and stand up for truth.
The God of truth will then return and take up His throne.
