Swing into fun at golf trade day

Lachlan Whelan and Joe Nicholls were winners in a previous Berrigan Trade Day tournament.

Berrigan Golf Community Club will be holding the next Trade Day on Sunday, January 25.

The competition will be a one person ambrose day with tee off at 9.30am.

Cost will be $20, which includes a barbecue, and there are some great prizes for the winners.

First prize will be $200, second $100 and third will be $50.

A fun day for all levels of golfers.

Tickets are still on sale for the Berrigan War Memorial Swimming Pool Committee raffle, which will be drawn on January 25.

First prize is a pizza oven valued at $1499, second prize is a $150 voucher from Howdy Partners, and third prize is a $100 inflatables pack to make pool time fun.

The pool is expected to get a workout this week in particular, with temperatures of more than 40°C predicted.

This year the committee has decided to go back to a volunteer-run canteen, and is looking for volunteers to lend a hand between 3pm and 6pm any day - just one shift for the season would be an enormous help.
