Murray Street upgrades in Finley are progressing steadily as part of a major revitalisation project led by Berrigan Shire Council in partnership with Transport for NSW.
The works aim to improve road safety, pedestrian access, stormwater drainage, and the overall appearance of the town centre.
By the time the multi-stage project is completed next year, $10 million will have been invested to make the appearance of the CBD as vibrant as the businesses in it.
In the past few weeks, asphalting work has taken place and now work is continuing to replace footpaths.
Care is being taken to retain access to businesses during this period, .
A new mid-block pedestrian crossing is one of the major changes of the work completed so far, replacing the previous crossing at the Pinnuck St intersection.
Once this stage is complete, the final stage will involve final road surfacing and upgrades to parking bays and the Pinnuck St intersection.
Stage one, delivered by Transport for NSW in May, consisted of road reconstruction.
