Following on from the recent very successful ‘Unlocking Hope’ presentation by Dr Alam Yoosuff, a second presentation was held at the Finley RS Club last Thursday.

The Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance held this follow-up with presenter Louise Hallinan of the Smart Brain Health Centre, based in Murray St, Finley.
The centre specialises in treating the underlying causes of many chronic health conditions including memory loss, stress, anxiety and depression.
Louise, a fully qualified and accredited Natural Medicine Practitioner of 18 years standing, spoke to about 50 people, empowering them with knowledge about healthy lifestyle and foods that will assist in maintaining a healthy body and brain.
A third and final presentation in the series for this year will be held on Thursday, November 9, also at the Finley RS Club, 10am for 10.30am start.
Morning tea will be provided.
The final presenter will be Alison Luelf, a dedicated nurse and aged care educator with a passion for fostering understanding and offering practical solutions on memory loss issues.
Her presentation will delve into strategies for coping with the various behaviours commonly associated with memory loss and dementia.

The Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance also holds regular get-togethers for carers and/or people with a diagnosis of dementia in a non-threatening environment,
