Plans are well underway for the reunion of the 1964 Finley St Joseph’s School’s 5th and 6th class to be held on October 11 at the Finley RS Club.
Details have been found for most of the 1964 year students. Unfortunately, five of the 52 have passed away.
Some contact details are still required for Ian Roberts, Helen Maynard, Sandra Higgins, Jan Aston Bryan, Sue Hodder/Cecily Dobbin.
If anyone has any information on these ex-students, it would be appreciated if you could contact either Marj Evans on 0408 831995, Chris Kelly on 0417 650508, or Mick Malone on 0429043029.
More than 50 per cent of the students have already indicated they will attend. Partners are invited.
The celebrations are scheduled to start at 4pm, and run until late. There may be additional activities over the weekend.

LHAC members Jenny McAlister and Cheryl Bodycoat with safeTALK trainer Chris Pidd.
Last Tuesday, several local community members attended a workshop on safeTALK. The topic is suicide prevention.
Participants learned the importance of having conversations about suicide with those who they may be worried about because of their actions, words, demeanour or change in circumstance.
The program covered the elements of safeTALK, connections and supports within the community, activities that a community can do together to prevent suicide and to help heal after a suicide.
LivingWorks Education is an organisation dedicated to helping individuals and communities become safer from suicide.

John McBurnie was the lucky winner of last Saturday’s Finley Lions Club wood raffle.
It would appear that members of the community had no trouble locating the temporary ticket selling venue, which will continue until the roadworks being carried out are completed.
