Held on Father’s Day, the family friendly event is a great way to kick off spring each year.
It returns on Sunday, September 3, with this year being the 105th show.
The Finley Showgrounds will come alive with all the popular country show events, with livestock judging, horse events and poultry judging all expected to draw large entries.
Always popular with the show day crowd is the pavilion, with sections designed to show off district talents in cookery, arts and craft, needlework, photography and more.
The committee has some great family friendly entertainment organised too.
With just a few weeks to go, the Finley Show Society is urging people to register for the various competitions now.
President Matt Mueller said making that process easier this year is the show’s transition to Showday Online.
It means you can view the show schedule and register for any of the events via the show’s website - www.finleyshowsociety.org.
The new online presence also means all show results will be available to view online after the event.
“People can go online now and get the program and register,” Mr Mueller said.
“All planning is well in hand for this year’s event.
“Let’s just hope we get a beautiful, sun shiny Father’s Day.”
Hardcopy schedules are also still available, and available at various locations in the community. Manual entry registrations will also be accepted.
Entries for most of the competitions must be received by September 1, although some sections have earlier deadlines.
Make sure to read the rules for the competition you want to enter carefully, as late entries will not be accepted.
The show office will open at the showgrounds at 10am on Tuesday, August 29.
If you need assistance with entries before then, email finleyshowsocietyinc@gmail.com or contact the relevant steward, as listed in the show schedule.
