But this time, Elders has partnered with a number of other local organisations to make the event bigger and better than ever.
It will be moved out of Deniliquin, and hosted at the Conargo Recreation Reserve.
Now called the Riverina Sheep & Wool Expo, it will be held Wednesday, August 27.
The premier one-day event is being hosted by Riverina Merino, proudly supported by Elders, Nutrien and AWN.
“Bringing together Riverina Merino studs, guest Merino studs, studs from other breeds, industry speakers, trade and information displays, this is a one-stop shop for the commercial breeder in the Riverina,” the organisers said.
The event was formerly known as the Elders Riverina Sheep Expo, and was established in 2009 when drought conditions forced the cancellation of the Riverina Field Days.
Conargo has been chosen as the location for the re-launch, as it is the birthplace of the modern Merino.
Planning for the event is continuing, with specific activities and attractions to be revealed soon.
More information about the expo will be shared on the Riverina Sheep & Wool Expo Facebook page as it is finalised.
