In the week leading up to Christmas, the beloved Santa’s Cave tradition has returned, inviting families to meet the big man himself and share their last-minute Christmas wishes.
The Free Press caught up with two eager young attendees, brothers Monty, 9, and Harvie Lloyd, 5, as they greeted Santa on Sunday, December 14.
Judging by their requests, the brothers might be adrenaline junkies: Monty wished for a drifter bike, while Harvie put in a request for a go-kart.
Each left their meeting with a commemorative photo and a special lollypop from Father Christmas.
The event has proven immediately popular, with the first two days drawing more than 50 families through the cave.

Volunteers expect attendance to swell as Christmas Day draws closer.
Santa’s Cave has been a long-running, volunteer-led, tradition in Kyabram, which some may remember used to be held in the old Knight’s department store basement on Allan St.
Volunteer Vanessa Cross vowed to revive Santa’s Cave in 2015, only this time at the Town Hall.
The hall features a winding tunnel — lined with toys, miniatures, snow and fairy lights to immerse children in the magical experience — all leading to Santa himself.
Mr Claus said he couldn’t wait to welcome children to Santa’s Cave and hoped children had been good this year.
Tickets for Santa’s Cave are $5 a person or $15 a family.
Santa’s Cave will be open every day until Sunday, December 22 from 11am to 5pm.
