While the Finley Rotary Club is affiliated with Rotary International, assisting with things like polio eradication worldwide, we fully support the town with projects that can be achieved in and around our shire.
We aspire to broaden our membership and would love to chat with anyone who is interested in becoming a Rotarian or a friend of Rotary.
Finley Rotary usually meets on the first and third Monday of the month, however we are open to different time frames and venues.
This year, we are running a campaign to ‘Say no to domestic and family violence and yes to respectful relationships’.
Each year, through community members nominations, we award a Citizen of Distinction to someone who has given a great deal of their time to certain projects in our community.
Last year our worthy recipient was Jane Harris.
Jane has worked and continues to work tirelessly with the Southern Riverina Wellbeing Collaborative, in conjunction with supporting many other community-based organisations.
We are seeking nominations for this year’s Citizen of Distinction award.
I’m sure there are many community people who are worthy of this award.
Please contact Ray Hehir on 0427 271 955 to begin the nomination process.
