Rosie travelled to Ganmain on Saturday for the Zone 7 final of the Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman competition.
Eighteen young women represented shows from across the Riverina and South West region.
Rosie, who was Finley Show's 2025 Young Woman, served as a fantastic ambassador for the Finley Show Society and the local community.
Her day started with an interview by the three judges before enjoying lunch with her fellow young women and the judges.
The day culminated with a dinner in the evening, where Rosie had a brief onstage interview to introduce herself to attendees. She received positive comments for the way she conducted herself onstage and immersed herself in the whole experience.
Rosie graduated from Finley High School last year and, after a gap year, will be heading off to CSU in Wagga Wagga in 2027 to study a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, with the goal of becoming an agronomist.
She was joined in Ganmain by her parents, Kate and Craig Steel, along with Finley Young Woman coordinator Kate Mueller, and committee members Lindy Weller and Amanda Watkins.
Ganmain's Daneka Hatty, Deniliquin's Georgia Moody, and Cootamundra's Paige Sedgwick were sashed as the Zone 7 State Finalists, and will be representing this region at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.
The Finley Show Society is already on the search for the 2026 Finley Young Woman, and anyone who is interested and aged 18-26 is asked to get in touch with a committee member to learn more about this experience.
