Holiday changes to services
Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support customers are encouraged to prepare for payment and service changes over the holiday season.
Services Australia is reminding customers their regular payment and reporting dates may change due to public holidays in December and January.
All Services Australia service centres and most call centres will also close on public holidays on December 25, 26 and 29, and on Thursday, January 1.
People can check for changes to their payment and reporting dates using their Centrelink online account through myGov or the Services Australia website.
Services Australia’s online and self-service options will continue to be available 24/7 over the holiday period.
Claiming Medicare benefits at the doctor’s or registering as an organ donor online will also continue as normal.

Illawarra Dve to light up for Christmas
The Illawarra Dve Christmas lights charity show will be held from Sunday, December 21 until Wednesday, December 24.
The annual light show is organised for the community’s enjoyment while also doubling as a fundraiser for the Echuca Lions Club.
While donations are not compulsory, funds will help the club give back to the local community in future projects.
The initiative has raised over $50,000 during the 16 years it has been running.
The Lions club would like to thank First National Real Estate and the residents of Illawarra Dve, Echuca, who have supported the event.
