The 2025 Mild2Wild Rod & Custom Swap Meet proved once again to be a standout event on the local calendar, drawing strong community support despite challenging weather conditions.

With more than 90 swap meet sites and vendors participating, the event showcased a vibrant mix of car culture, parts trading, and delicious food and coffee to keep everyone warm.
The Mild2Wild Rod & Custom Club thanks everyone who attended, including vendors, entrants, club members and the general public.
Everyone’s participation was key to making the day a great success, particularly with a cold and drizzly start.
This year’s Show and Shine featured an impressive display of vehicles, with a range of standout entries across several categories.
Top Cars included Kylie Law’s 1974 HQ GTS Monaro, Lachlan Robinson’s classic 1931 Model A Ford, Renae McCallam’s 1974 Torana, Paul Elliot’s Ford Escort, and Zac Davis’ VN Commodore.
In the Top Bikes category, Wayne Nelson took honours with his Softail Slim, while Lohannon Nelson impressed with a custom Sportster Bike.
The Top Truck award went to Ian Bennie for his impressive 1943 GMC DUKW – a rare and eye-catching entry.
Club Pick was awarded to Rodney Holm for his pristine HK Broughan, a clear favourite among the club members.
The Mild2Wild Rod & Custom Club thanks everyone for their support and contributions to the event, and looks forward to welcoming the community back for an even bigger show next year.

The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre is bringing back its popular dinner train experience, with a special trip to Tocumwal on Saturday, July 26.
As part of the event, a local shuttle service will run from Tocumwal to Katunga, departing at 1pm and returning at 3pm.
This is a great opportunity for locals to enjoy the scenic ride.
While the shuttle is operating, passengers from the main dinner train will spend up to three hours exploring Tocumwal, giving the township a welcome boost of visitors and activity.
Seats are limited and expected to sell out quickly, so early bookings are encouraged.

A reminder that the Tocumwal Library has its exciting Library School Holiday Program starting this week, with its hands-on workshops for children of all ages.
Tomorrow (Thursday, July 10), children can get their imaginations soaring with a kite making workshop.
For just $5, participants will have the chance to design and build their own colourful kites to take home.
Next week, on Thursday, July 17, the creativity continues with a no-sew scarf making session. This cozy crafting activity is just $4.
Both sessions begin at 10.30am, and bookings are essential, so be sure to secure your child’s spot early.
