Rabbit fumigation works have started in the Berrigan Shire region, across a range of council-managed reserves, parks and public spaces.
The work is part of an ongoing Integrated Rabbit Control Program.
Residents are advised that all treatment areas will be clearly marked with warning signage during the program.
Council is urging visitors to take precautions, including keeping pets on leads and away from treatment sites, and ensuring children are supervised at all times.
