This scripture clearly instructs us to “be still” to know God.
When we enter into a time of prayer, it’s important to find a quiet place and still our souls.
A relationship with God involves talking time and listening time.
If we simply pour out our hearts to God in prayer and then get up and leave, we haven’t given God a chance to respond.
We have given out but not received.
We can expect an encounter with God when we meet with him in our prayer time.
Let’s take the time to quiet our hearts and our soul, and allow God the time to impart into us.
Don’t be surprised if, in this place of deep stillness, tears flow from your heart.
It’s in this place that the word of God will come to life in us, and He will direct us in every aspect of our lives.
Jesus wants to be the source from which everything pertaining to life flows.
