With 35 modified tractors and five modified mowers competing, with entrants travelling from across NSW, Victoria, South Australia and as far as Queensland to take on the Finley track, a favourite on the Down Under Modified Tractor Pulling Association calendar.
Committee member Troy Marshall said the atmosphere was exceptional from start to finish.
“It was a great atmosphere and the weather was perfect,” he said.
“They were perfect conditions for the track.”
Crowd numbers were strong throughout the evening, with spectators lining the fence as the modified mowers opened the program before the main pulling action began at 6pm.
The field of tractors, including several high powered machines from interstate, put on a loud and competitive show.
Local groups again played a major role in supporting the event.
The football club operated the bar and assisted with set‑up and clean‑up, while Finley Little Athletics kept the crowd fed with a busy barbecue.
The raffle also proved popular with attendees.
Mr Marshall said the committee was thrilled with the turnout and the support shown by the community.
“It all came together really well,” he said. “The crowd was fantastic, and everyone involved helped make it a great night.”
