Norm Wilson and Warren Grant both received recognition of their dedication and service to RSL NSW - Norm receiving Life Membership and Warren a 50 year membership certificate.
Norm served with the RAAF as part of the crew of a B24 Liberator bomber.
He spent some of that time in Tocumwal after being posted to Western Liberator No. 7 Operational Training Unit.
His history board, which is displayed at the Finley RS Club as part of the RSL memorabilia, tells of his activities during World War II with photos.
It includes being present at the signing of the Surrender at Morotai in the Dutch East Indies on September 9, 1945, by Japan’s Lieutenant General F Teshima and Australia’s General Thomas Blamey.
The surrender was for Japanese forces throughout the Dutch East Indies.
Norm has completed 76 years as a member of the RSL Sub-branch - first at Cobden, and finally at Finley where he has held several positions.

Warren was part of the task force sent to Vietnam.
He joined the RSL Sub-branch after his father encouraged him to join Mortdale RSL before he left for war.
On his return from Vietnam, he went on to become a sub-branch vice president and a delegate to state congress, a position he held for a number of years until he was posted to Canberra.
Warren remained a member of Mortdale RSL Sub-branch while serving on the staff at Duntroon.
He then returned to Sydney with a posting to 5/7 RAR at Holsworthy, still remaining a member of Mortdale RSL.
He then joined to the Liverpool RSL Sub-branch as an associate member.
After retiring from the Army in 1982, Warren joined the CMF/Army Reserve at 2 Training Group, Ingleburn as an instructor.
He moved to Campbelltown and transferred his membership to Campbelltown RSL Sub-branch.
He later transferred to the Cowra RSL Sub-branch where he was secretary for three years and a delegate to South West District Council, and then Wirrimah-Koorawatha RSL Sub-branch.
During this time he continued with state congress and was vice president of South West District Council.
After moving to Tocumwal, Warren joined the Finley RSL Sub-branch in 2016.
He has served as secretary and treasurer, as well as delegate to Riverina District Council and state congress.
The certificates were presented by Finley RSL Sub-branch president Jeff Ward.
“Both members are very worthy of the recognition they have received for service to their local community and the safety of generations to come,” Jeff said.
