Kevin Sexton was elected president of the Finley Show Society at last week’s annual general meeting.

Outgoing president Matt Mueller was elected a co-vice president, along with Lauren Clarke.
Secretary is Breanne Cleve, assistant secretary is Carol Kennedy and treasurer is Scott Watkins.
Mr Mueller thanked the committee and his family for all their help and support, not only during the past year but over his five years as president.
He said the committee had been a great team, putting together three fantastic events each year. He also thanked the large number of volunteers who came forward to help.
The committee will take a break until the next meeting on February 28, 2024.
However, planning has already started for the coming year, with the poultry auction on March 23, the dog trials on June 7 to 9 and the Finley Show on September 1.
Meetings are held monthly, on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
