It will be held at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Thursday, November 19, beginning at 10am, with registrations opening from 9.30am.
As in previous years, the meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing shareholders to attend either in person or online.
The company has encouraged shareholders to take part, describing the AGM as an important opportunity to stay informed and involved in key company decisions.
Shareholders will be asked to vote on three resolutions.
The first two seek ratification of non-member directors Sam Tainsh and Fiona Jolly to the board for four-year terms.
Information about both candidates, including their backgrounds, experience and the value they bring to the board, is available through videos and written candidate statements on the company's website.
The third resolution relates to the cancellation of shares resulting from applications made by shareholders.
Board chair Phil Snowden said the board unanimously supported all three resolutions, particularly the ratification of Mr Tainsh and Ms Jolly.
“These two outstanding candidates bring to the board an impressive skill set across agriculture, governance, IT, change management, asset management and infrastructure,” Mr Snowden said.
“By casting a vote, shareholders can actively participate in shaping the board, which is responsible for strategic vision, managing risk, supporting irrigation communities and ensuring Murray Irrigation remains positioned for ongoing success.
“For this reason, I encourage shareholders to participate in the voting process at this year's AGM.”
During the meeting, shareholders will also formally acknowledge outgoing non-member director Trisha Gorman, who is not seeking re-election after five years of service to the company and board.
Representatives from auditor Grant Thornton will also be available to answer shareholder questions relating to the company's financial statements and reports.
Shareholders attending either in person or online will be able to vote during the meeting.
For those wishing to vote before the AGM, online voting opened on October 26 and will remain open until 10am on Tuesday, November 17.
In accordance with the company's constitution, all voting and proxy forms must also be received by that date.
To be eligible to vote, shareholders must have paid all fees due and payable to the company by 10am on Monday, November 16 - at least 72 hours before the meeting.
Shareholders with a formal payment arrangement in place who are meeting the terms of that arrangement by the same deadline will also be eligible to vote.
Shareholders who have an email address registered with the company will receive an email containing links to the notice of meeting. Those without a registered email address will receive the same information by post.
All documents relating to the AGM are available on the MIL website.
