Four locals will be competing in the pavilion at the Royal Melbourne Show this year after impressing at regionals.

Competitors representing the Finley Show Society and Berrigan Agricultural & Horticultural Society won their way through to state through Saturday’s Goulburn Valley & Riverina Shows Association regional final in Shepparton.
Initially a winner at the Finley Show, Cassandra Dundon placed first in the Victorian Agricultural Shows Limited (VAS) Junior Photography class.
The other three state competitors will represent the Berrigan Show and the GVRSA.
In Shepparton on Saturday, Barbara Renwick won the VAS Sewing section, Lorna Gray won the VAS Patchwork class and Jennifer Tarrant claimed the top prize in VAS Knitting.
Both show societies had a host of other successful competitors at regionals, with a number of other placings.
From the Finley camp, Harley Dundon claimed third prize in the VAS Junior Photography behind his sister and another district entrant.
Also taking home a placing was Gabrielle Hoskin, who placed third in the VAS Junior Carrot & Sultana Muffins class.
In the same section, Berrigan Show entrant Jack Healy was second for his muffins.
Other Berrigan entrants claiming second prizes were Lyndall Horne in the VAS Rich Fruit Cake, Adele Schweiker in VAS Patchwork, and Ms Tarrant in VAS Cross Stitch.
Sophie Agnew rounded out the podium finishes, with third place in the VAS Junior Boiled Fruit Cake.
Although they didn't take home placings, Wendy Cleve, Victoria Kennedy, Elijah Hoskin, and Corey Dundon also represented Finley in cooking and photography competitions.
