Extreme heat arrangements for today and tomorrow are available to locals and visitors alike.
Venues and opening times are as follows, with closing times flexible, depending on temperature and demand:
• Colembally - Coleambally Community Hall, Kingfisher Ave, open from 6.30am.
• Darlington Point - Murrumbidgee Shire Hall, Carrington St, open from 8.30am.
• Jerilderie - Jerilderie Library/council office, Jerilderie St, open from 8.30am.
Swimming pool opening hours:
Today - Coleambally and Jerilderie - 6am-10am and 1pm-7 pm; Darlington Point - closed.
Tomorrow - all pools open 6am-10am and 1pm-7pm.
Arrangements may be extended depending on the conditions. Check the Murrumbidgee Council Facebook page for details.
Remember to look after yourself and others during the heat - stay hydrated and sun safe - as well as pets and wild animals and birds.
And it you’re taking to the water - whether it’s a pool, river, creek or lagoon - be water wise.
Remember, irrigation channels are not suitable for swimming.

The next Landcare meeting will be Thursday, February 5, from 5.30pm at the Coleambally Community Garden - don't forget to bring a chair.
The group is seeking additional members for the committee.

Coleambally Riding Club has a working bee set for Saturday, February 7.
All welcome. Sign-ups will be accepted on the day, and there will be a meeting to follow.
The working bee will start about 9am, and finish up about noon.
Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and your cleaning gear.
Current members are welcome to bring a pony friend along and go for a ride after.

The Riverina Classic Fishing Competition is set for February 6-8, at Darlington Point.
There’s also more than 200 people who have entered via www.riverinaclassic.com.

It was great to see so many people from so many avenues nominated.
