Learning shared with grandparents

Students from St Joseph’s Primary School Jerilderie invited their grandparents and special friends to school last Friday, celebrating the school’s own Grandparents Day.

More than 60 family members accepted the invite, attending the school to see the learning processes in place for their loved ones.

Friends, grandparents and students got involved with a number of games, teaming up against one another for some light-hearted competition.

There was a special modified game of ‘grandparents bingo’ for everyone to get involved in.

The special guests then posed for portraits drawn by the student they had come to see, resulting in some fantastic works of art.

The day finished with the grandparents and other guests being treated to a cup of tea and scones, before everyone made their way into the church for a beautiful service.
